SCS SB 383 -- SALE OF THE MULTI-PURPOSE EXPORT FACILITY AT THE KANSAS CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT SPONSOR: Johnson (Harding) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Urban Affairs by a vote of 10 to 0. This substitute authorizes the state to sell property at the Kansas City International Airport Multi-Purpose Export Facility. FISCAL NOTE: Income to General Revenue Fund of $225,000 in FY 2002, $0 in FY 2003, and $0 in FY 2004. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the state should sell the Multi-Purpose Export Facility located at the Kansas City International Airport because the facility is no longer being used as it was originally intended. Charter flights operating from this location are no longer in service. Testifying for the bill were Senator Johnson; Department of Agriculture; and City of Kansas City.
